A recommendation from the staff here at Le Villaret, this took about 5-10 minutes to blow off a little funk, but then really opened up to reveal a beautiful palate of dried cherries and earth. Terrific.

Sour cherries and cherry compote, earthy, floral, candied. Similar nose to the Bonne Mares we had a few days ago. Just a touch darker and wild. Then again, it is 2010... my favorite plot for Pousse d'Or. With time, the acidity feels more prominent while mid palate became thinner.
