Pizzella Family Mendoza Malbec

AG nailed the notes on this wine. Really nothing to add. All dimensions of the wine check all the right boxes.
Rush of blood to the head got me and my board 🏂 out to Whistler as they extended their season. First time here and the conditions are stellar. My close friends can’t understand why I’m always on the move. My reply is “I’ll sleep when I’m dead”! 🥹

Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of black cherry/raspberry/plum and violets. Same dark fruits on the palate with hints of blueberry, pomegranate, dark chocolate and baking spices. Extremely long finish and nicely integrated oak. Fully extracted, dense and concentrated but not overly fruit forward. Full bodied with well balanced acidity and alcohol. Soft tannins. Excellent quality for the price.

Fruity and not too heavy. Great with steak.

Great Malbec- Mission wines

Very good with steak and grilled vegetables. The spice in the wine compliments the flavor of the meat and also the seasoned veggies.

Higher altitude, single vineyard Malbec. Excellent Malbec for bind tasting.

In Kauai doing the Costco under $20 cabs & reds. This will remain on the list.

Surprisingly jammy and delicious find from TJ’s. Rich, dark color. No alcohol aftertaste. Would definitely buy again!

I love a good Malbec, and this one does not disappoint. Bold flavor and very dark in color. Low acidity, spicy but relatively smooth with good tannins. Let’s have it again.
