Full of dried herbs (oregano), dried cherry and a whiff of kirsch. Some wilted flowers, too. Not unlike a good Nebbiolo. On the palate juicy, with bright acidity and mouth coating, dry, finely grained tannins. Medium bodied but with fine presence. Light cherries on crushed rocks. Good length, a touch dry, but with a mineral streak in the finish.
This is truly a excellent wine, in the league of many great Barolos.
