See past notes (3-4 months ago) with a + half point improvement as the tertiary notes of soil are starting to overtake the cranberry.

Cranberry, cherry, floral, with fresh herbs and soil. A very nice presence on the palate--a welcome medium plus body, silky. Waning medium acidity, medium minus tannins. Long finish. Well balanced, but also not overly expressive. Very good.

I bought six bottles after tasting out of barrel in 2008 - and still have two left after this one (along with one from McCrone Vyd). These wines continue to pleasantly surprise me with this much time in the cellar. I think it’s maybe nearing the end of its “post-prime” but still a really wonderful experience - the nose is expressive if a little earthy; the fruit character is rich cherry pie and very intense; the mouthfeel is silky and the finish loooooong. The dusty and oxidative notes are definitely beginning to peak their head out - if you like that kind of thing, then, WOW, given how much fruit is left. What a treat. Thanks, Ken.

Green pepper light, anise, spice, green leaves... And not afraid to say, but 💩 note on the trailing end of the nose, somehow it's not distracting. I think this needs another 24 hours, been in the decanter for 3+ already.

Ruby with full fruit and spice aromas. Big Blackberry and Plum fruit with flavors of cacao, lively acidity and herb spices. Lingering finish, dry tannins that need some time, ending with bright mineral tones. Nice, but put this one in the cellar for a few years.

Found this out in market last week and couldn't resist the 7 years ago price. Oh my gosh did I make the right decision
