Not the best showing of this bottle. Initially it was somewhat of a dud lacking vibrancy and missing any sort of notable fruit or terroir expression. Strangely came around after 2 hours in the decanter with significantly increased fruit intensity, depth and brightness. A pleasant surprise by the end of the night in comparison to my first impression but still just not the best bottle. I believe there was a storage issue at one point in its life. Can’t all be winners! 🙃

A baby. Pure fruit, raspberry, stemmy, acid made me pucker, somebody said hot, I didn't find it to be, but it's not a little, thin, wine. Intense but not over extracted. The Drouhin 05's feel like they'll age forever. Great wine

Lovely lush and pure fruit. Really clear with haunting lifted notes of forest floor and red fruit. Still fresh but really intense. Excellent

Wonderful old Burg! Earthy aromas and flavors lifted by fruit and acid. Wish I had some in my cellar as there are still years of enjoyment with this wine!
