Les Bernardine Arbois Red Blend

Pale ruby with garnet rim, mushroom soil, stewed fruit, and muted spice. Despite being a single-vineyard, the wine feels tired and limp. Not the best example from the region.

Pale ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of red cherry, strawberries, rhubarb, flowers, mushroom, crushed rocks; dry, medium plus acid, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium minus body, medium intensity flavors of strawberries, rhubarb, alpine flowers, mushroom, crushed gravel; medium finish, very delicate and elegant flavors and aromas, outstanding

produced from a mix of Ploussard (60%) and Pinot Noir (40%) which are co-fermented. The wine is then aged in stainless steel for one year and one year in 225 liter barrels. A single vineyard wine, the Bernardines site is within the confines of the village of Vadans.

Ruby with some opacity, mushrooms on the nose, light bodied but good balance. Not as exciting as other Juras I’ve had.

Light red from France. Tried it at Bar August in New Haven. Phil and I both liked.

Everything I love in a Jura red. Tart red fruit, wet dirt, hint of spice. Delicious.

A little age has brought out the complexity here. Incredibly tasty.

I can just drink this red for the rest of my life!
