Echézeaux Grand Cru Pinot Noir

Quite meaty wine with fine tannins. Medium weight with dominant raspberry taste. Not very refined.

Too ripe and flab to spare. Surprisingly meh.

Unbricked ruby. Freaking textbook nose of roses and spices, perfumed and delicate, sweet and inviting like a country maiden picking flowers. So, so Pinot. The palate is sweet, soft, inviting with pie cherries, macerated raspberries, cinnamon and a little wood spice. Good, not great, length. But exceedingly delicious. Wonderful, with a very light touch. (My wine.)

Rough veggie notes an acquired taste this disappointed but was still an interesting wine.
1997 was a difficult vintage the wine tried but fell short.

Big tenants. Very approachable. Hint of tar. Soft upfront yet great tannins in the finish elegant meaty with a hint of spice.

2013 vintage. That's good. Lovely complexity. Menthol cool note. Nice tannins. Great potential here.

Silky and supple.

Perfumed nice aromatics, but tough on tannins

So good! Ripe berries with lovely floral and brown spice. Nice grip on the back end.
