Barely bricked opaque blood. Quite primary nose, but then shows tar, coffee grounds, pomegranate, then boom, a hugely lifted perfume of sweet rose. Gorgeous. The palate is also pretty young, mulberry, tannin, pomegranate seeds. Really needs time, as the finish amply demonstrates. Fine wine. — 9 years ago
Shot, unfortunately. Cooked and undrinkable. — 9 years ago

Deep blood ruby. Very lifted, perfumed 93 cherry/kirsch nose; some blood, hanging game. Yum. Palate broad with fruit, substantial acidity, and tannin just beginning to resolve. Cherry skins. Good to excellent length. Really nice bottle just beginning to drink. Right in my wheelhouse style wise. — 9 years ago

Dark blood ruby. Excellent again, fresh dark red cherries, herbal but not green, a little chocolate. Palate tangy, good lifted cherry fruit; tannic. Medium length. A very good 2004, in context, like all the Clos Vougeots I've had from that year. — 9 years ago
