Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The “Cuvée 741” is based heavily on the 2013 vintage and sourced from vineyards in Aÿ, Dizy, Avize, Hautvillers and Oiry. The wine pours a yellow color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of lemons, nuts, brioche and minerals. It seemed to be a bit on the oxidative side right when I pulled the cork but it brightened up after about 30min of air. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and zippy. This is a complex, sophisticated Champagne and always such a delight. Drink now through 2033. Disgorged in December 2017.

Very nutty! Lots of biscuit notes too. Salted almonds. Lemon pith. Yellow apply. A little closed at first and then really blossoms.

Very tight at first, this reveals itself with still doughy apple pastry notes, green apple skins and seeds, lemon and lemon zest and a clean mineral nose with something almost reminiscent of swimming pool (not in a bad way). Palate is mineral and focused with lots of acid leading into the finish. Just starting to develop a honeyed note. Pleasurable if a little austere, will be better in 2-3 years. 2013 harvest, disgorged 2018

This was a stunner from the start. If I could afford to start each day the way Churchill did, the Jacquesson 7xx series would be my Pol Roger. This stuff is so consistently what I want in a Champer. It is aromatic. It’s got layers of flavor. It’s got body. It’s got verve. Yeah baby.

A lovely vinous champagne. Disg 1/2018, 2.5 g/l dosage. On the nose: cranberry, peach, wild strawberry, then some soft lemon cream. On the palate, lovely vibrancy, fantastic acid, white peach, cranberry, slightly coarse mousse, but works reasonably well with the acidity to.convey energy. Cranberry, a touch of white pepper on the finish, which shows good density.

Pale gold. Lots of bubbles. Bold, dry. Red and green apples, orange zest, and a bit of nuttiness. Very nice!
