Cepparello Toscana Sangiovese

One of the few Tuscan wines I regularly seek out. Plush dark fruit, slightly raisiny, floral, spice, leather, licorice and pepper

ho hum. high expectations let down. bit vapid and flat. bad bottle?

Wouldn't have guessed this is ten years old.

Pure Sangiovese but needs time.

Mature now and great. Bordeaux meets brunello. No rush.

Outstanding wine. Deep and intense cherry fruit. Rich. Just gorgeous. Long. Glad I have more! I think I want to try this against some really good Brunellos.

16/20 (89/100) В первом носе сильны тона кожи и вяленого мяса; в развитии проявляются вишневое и кизиловое варенье, шоколад и немного гвоздики. Тельное с высокой кислотностью и густыми, мягкими, «ватными» по текстуре танинами. Спелые красные ягоды и кожа во вкусе. Фруктовых ароматов вину недостаёт, не хватает ощущения свежести и баланса во вкусе.
