Expressive and pretty. Touch of integrated Brett. Nicely balanced now but I’d love to taste again with the tannins better integrated in 5 years.

The 2018 Barbaresco Rabajà expresses all of its classicism and nuance in an ethereal, nervy style that is going to need at least a few years in bottle to unwind. Readers will notice a Rabajà that is more finesse than muscle, the direction these wines have trended in over the last few years. Sage, mint, tobacco, licorice and incense are laced into the resonant finish. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2022)

Dusty tannins are kept in check with a beautiful aroma of crushed rock, dried purple flowers, potpourri and tart crunchy red fruit. this is a serious wine that opens up in the glass over an hour or two

In lovely shape, with aromas of dried flowers dried cherries, and a touch of licorice. In the mouth, plum, red apple skin, strawberry jam and wet redwood bark have a wonderful supple tannic backbone. A touch of sour cherry lingers in the finish. Very pretty.

This wine was a little lighter than expected but really aromatic and really fun to drink. I didn’t really miss the weight.

The 2016 Barbaresco Rabajà is fresh, vibrant and pulsing with energy, all signatures of this important Barbaresco vintage. Sweet red cherry, tobacco, smoke, dried herbs and menthol are all wonderfully alive in the glass. This is such an expressive and vivid wine. Layers of aromatic and flavor intensity really come alive with aeration. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2019)

Cab Franc comes to mind. Lighter bodied and very green. Delicate with fine tannins. Great on its own or with charcuterie. Not getting any better.
