Rich and oaky, there’s a lot of black fruit and gravel in the nose. In the mouth, it’s dark and ripe, very intense but not super heavy. Needs steaks, and, fortunately, that’s what we’re having!

My first "mixed blacks" wine, and hello gorgeous. Hard to identify what I'm working with in this blend but:
-fairly lengthy legs around the glass; medium plus body and pretty deep purple juice
-nose smells of smoky meats, black currants, hint of blueberries
-the wine finishes quickly, so not very tannic. Tastes of raspberry/blackberry pie
Always heard good things about Girard's Mixed Blacks wine, and I'm happy to report I'm in agreement. Easy drinking wine that does just find stand alone.
