Richer and smokier than the 2013, which has turned out to be a stellar cellar performer. The riper 2015s can age, but are accessible now, especially with the right northern Italian dish. Now to taste against the 2016s.

Mar 15th, 2021A massive Ravera... rich without too much oak, ample tannins, darker fruits. Even though this is a 2013, it needs some time in the cellar. Update: Drinking even better on Day 2. This is a blockbuster Barolo. Can I save any for Day 3?

On the palate, i found feminine textures with a mix of blackberry and cherry with a twang of orange zest, and fine grippy tannin. It finished structured, long, and full of potential.
