This is an interesting dry Riesling from Piedmont.

Golden in color with a fruity nose.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with a touch of RS.

Showing limes, apples and spices.

Oily and tangy with nice complexity.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.

Good by itself or with food.

14% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$40.

Fresh, stony, citrusy, floral Riesling from vine cuttings transplanted 30 years ago from Alsace to Barolo. Really consistently lovely each vintage, especially this!

Super interesting. Tastes like a Riesling but not the soaring petroleum and mineral backbone of a German Riesling. I guessed Australian Riesling (which can be quite magnificent) really drinkable and awesome.

This Riesling. Citrus, crisp, some salinity, mineral notes. I really loved this

Pairing for Roast duck from one of NYCs top German restaurants? Riesling from Piedmont sounded perfect to me. Here I found a bouquet of honey dew melon, yellow flowers, lime zest, crushed stone and hints of petrol. On the palate, a zesty display of lemon-infused green apple, young pineapple and savory herbs saturated the senses, while its brisk acidity left the mouth watering. It finished wonderfully fresh with a lasting zing of pineapple and minerals. Talk about a perfect pairing.
