The 2020 Barolo Sperss is a dark, brooding wine. Black fruit, leather, incense, game, gravel and scorched earth convey the essence of Serralunga's seriousness. A touch of small oak torrefaction character actually works well in this wine. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2024)

Showed size and strength with tar, licorice, spices and black cherry on palate...but had a pretty muted nose ~ as that is one of the things I love most about Nebbiolo I’m hoping that changes over time

Lovely supple fruit. Open and tangy dark fruit. Blackcurrant and a deep saline note. Delicious and in really good shape.
