Bright cherry, plum, lavender on the nose. Beautifully fresh and clear. Really impressive. Some tangy fruit. Really pure and long in the finish. Great stuff

Beautifully fragrant and bright. Dazzling red fruit followed by floral notes and pretty play doh mid palate. Ready now and great

That Gaja though! Drinking very well right now with a good 10 years ahead. Beautiful dusty cherry.

1985 vintage. Still plenty of concentration and focus within despite having crested the top of the bell curve a while back. Nice spice, clove, cinnamon and out all nite bender residual tobacco notes. Light-medium/medium body. Respectable amount of sed piled up. Nose of a holiday kitchen at full speed. Expecting this to hover in this drinking zone for approximately another half decade before leaving this room and walking into another. Not getting better but time remains to sip and savor this one-even as a procrastinator.

This seemed mature and completely ready to drink when poured, but lovely floral aromatics and delicacy in this 40-year-old Nebbiolo, long finish, just beautiful!! Original price tag of $18.29 was still on the bottle, I have more so we’ll see how the next bottle shows!

(02.11.2019) #dfwe2019

At 29 years and 27 in my cellar this has been well worth waiting for. Perhaps one of the most stunning wines ever. Bright purple color, nose of fresh dark red and black fruit with a glimmer of Asian spice. A huge mouthful of generous fruit and perfectly balanced gentle tannins and fresh acidity. An endless finish. So many dimensions it is difficult to describe. WOW
