Almost burgundy style. Young and fresh, lots of lemon. Not overly oaked, even though it was fermented and matured on new casks only.

Next in line is the @frankfamilyvineyards #2012 #chardonnay . #buttery , fullbodied on the palate & sweet on the finish.Overall well balanced.

A bit different from what I expected but super fun. There is a lot of malo and tropical fruits but this doesn’t seem like a butter bomb. (FYI I am not great at distinguishing oak levels, but I was asking the people I was with and they agreed with me that there is a lot of malo). For a biggish Chardonnay that’s not a butter bomb but has softness and great tropical fruits go for this!

Quite sharp when first opened but did even out with air but still a touch alcoholic on the finish. Pear & green apple tones- no oak and not so buttery for a Chardonnay. Would not buy it.

Lemon curd on the nose along with savory. So smooth and full bodied, oaky with citrus, and buttery. Very nice CA chardonnay

This was my first experience w this specific vineyard. I have long been a fan of Frank wines, but this one has a bit more grapefruit than I prefer.
