Probably the best munjebel I’ve ever had. Just an outrageously perfumed and gorgeous nose. It has an earthy texture and high wire grace and tension that frame up the ripeness wonderfully. But honestly I’d be happy just smelling it; the bouquet is a complete sentence

Jan 10th, 2021This one seemed a bit richer than the others, more dark boysenberry jam and cocoa, while still riding the mineral ashy quality and cottony tannins for balance. The Munjebels seemed to get riper and fuller with higher elevation which I wasn’t expecting

Open for 16 days. And it still tastes like fresh Nerello. This is crazy juice. Say what you will about Frank Cornelissen, he definitely makes some compelling wines.

Was pretty smitten with the entire latest Cornelissen release. This was my standout: ferrous & fennelish, super fresh, alive and with a core of seriousness that makes me feel guilty for not laying this down for years.
