Rioja Viura Blend

Pale straw color with stone fruit and citrus aromas. On the palate flavors of peach and grapefruit with herb and grassy notes. Good balance with lively acidity, medium+ finish ending with floral spice notes.

Dark red clear color; nose of red cherries, malbec-like ripe black currant, watery brook minerality, coffee, and a touch of toasted oak; smooth taste, small fine tannins, high acids and medium-high alcohol, fruity as heck, and a long strong finish. Producer in Alta Rioja, untrellised 45 year-old vines, 14 mo in french barriques, bottled non-fined and unfiltered. 20 USD, 14% alc, feels higher.

Jammy. Slight tannic. Vanilla. Good starter red. Medium light body

Delicious Rioja with lovely cream and vanilla flavors. Finishes with a citric acid finish. The nose is fragrant with flowers and citrus. Much better than I expected. Drink now: there’s no aging potential.

Flat all around. Just couldn’t get into this
