Aug 22nd, 2022Patience rewarded with this bottle - lovely dark floral aromas, figs, blackberries, ripe red cherry (Sangiovese-like), balsamic, oregano, dark chocolate, smoked meat, oiled leather, scorched earth. Tannins are integrated and are in balance with fruit and acid on the palate. Lovely, complex bottle, enjoyed with Alex’s porchetta.

Aug 26th, 2019Intense, powerful and masculine; inky black to the core. Brooding black fruit, tar, scorched earth and meat juices integrate well with a long finish of iron ore and blood. Not a wine for the timid; wear your grown up pants for this one!!!
