This is a very enjoyable Rhône blend from California. Nicely balanced with black fruits, earth, chocolates, black tea, licorice, wood, cloves, vanilla, spices, espresso, cola and vegetables.

Full bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Dry and fruit forward on the palate, with enough earth notes to make it interesting, with great complexity and a lively mouthfeel.

Great length on the finish with round tannins and a tangy ending.

Very enjoyable an earthy, for a new world wine. Feels like a nice young Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

This is a beautiful 6 year old blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Will drink very nicely in the next 3 years.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with BBQ skirt steak.

14.8% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$80.

On the blue side of blue/black fruit with a fragrant Northern Ca herbal influence. And it hits the sweet spot between mid and full bodied. Rocks with lamb chops.

Heaven to mergatroid. A holy terror. In a good way, I mean.

Still rugged but some. Ice dark fruit. Decanted 2 hours.

As much as I love Favia wines, this GSM wasn't hitting the spot last night. It's way too tannic. Fennel and spice was all I got on the nose and the fruit was in the background even after being opened for a few hours. Rating this would be unfair as this was a "user error" not a bad wine. It just isn't ready for prime time yet - needs a long decant or a few years rest in bottle. @Evan Bienstock - I see you were on the Rib express train too!

Rhône blend from Cali. Dark fruits, a little earthy/spice. Balanced tannins, medium body. Like a young CdP. Had with Xmas prime rib roast.

Soft, doesn't overstretch it's bounds. The fruit is precise, but not overdone. Excellent.

44% Grenache, 24% Mourvedre and 32% Syrah
Rhône style, but deeper. Still had the bright acidity and minerality of most Rhône, but has that distinctive California tanin and finish.

A magnificent wine. It's going to be a monster wine in about 3 or 4 years.
