This is a 100 % organic Syrah grown on decomposed granite hillsides in Saint Joseph, displaying violet, ripe black fruits with hint of dried blueberry, black pepper and vanilla. Slightly musky, dusty, med plus body with great acidity and med plus tannin. A wonderful Saint Joseph has depth, structure, and fruitiness.

Violets and sandlewood on the nose. A bit dusty. Blueberries. Medium acid and good tannins.

Deep red colour. Nose of blackberries. Tastes drier, more acidic than its scent. Something mineral, chalky about it. Smooth tannins, but you do feel the acidity.

Jan 26th, 2019It is a beautiful and complex syrah with brilliant layers of a flavor. Elements of fruit Earth and minerals in the front and a nice soft preparation in the back this is one of the more complex now that I've had. It's not as fruit forward as an Australian Shiraz however definitely a little bit more fruit forward then some of the earthier rohn Syrah. This is definitely on my to buy list again.
