Enderle & Moll
Liaison Pinot Noir

Mesmerizing nose. Alluring spice and florals, pine resin, so aromatic and delicate. So fine. So E and M. Palate is silky, sweet and structured with lovely freshness and a nimbleness about it. Earthy sweetness throughout and lovely purity. Long and meandering. Wonderful. Sappy, long and sweet.

Terrific nose out of the gates. Sour cherry, floral, pine resin, pine needles, lilacs, gorgeous florals. Cranberry as well. Even pomegranate. Stunning nose. Palate is s refined and ultra elegant with gorgeously sweet fruit. Silky and sweet with unreal fruit and lovely acidity. So silky and sweet with a gossamer like texture. Terrific and ridiculous. What a showing.

So high-toned and crunchy, tart, mineral, very floral. More akin to Cru Beaujolais if you wanted to pigeonhole it. Potpourri, cranberry, blood orange, smoke, dried flowers, pink peppercorn and star anise. Very pretty, love the light frame and puckering acid it has.

Couldn’t resist popping one to try. Has the same wild, earthy, lifted, fragrant beauty as the last vintage although maybe a touch lighter.

Yesterday’s Wednesday Wine Committee, hosted by @Jeff Meyer , was so educational with fantastic German & Austrian wines. 1 sparkler, 5 whites, 5 reds, 1 dessert wine. All served blind as usual.
This was more mineral driven than the first red in every way. Not necessarily savory, but very herbal. Almost grassy. Sour and underripe cherry, bitter dark cocoa, medium acidity, and surprisingly tannic on the finish with too many herbs to differentiate against! Complex. I called this Spätburgunder.

Decanted ~5hr.
Color is brown ruby, unfiltered.
Nose has cedar infused cherry-red raspberry, rose-violet florals, touch of alcohol, bright potpourri and wet soil. Nose is quite tight!
Palate has strawberry juice, orange peel, under-ripe cherry, dried herbs, blackberry jam and great (high) acidity. Finish is medium at this point in a young life.
Soo young, but very elegant! Future bottles should be 2023+
Lightly cloudy on the double decant for service this afternoon. Part of an epic E&M based afternoon plan as we sit by the chimnea on a beautiful early Spring day. The Cardinal's and Chickadee's are now singing the background chorus.
