Coffee beans waiting to be tossed into a grinder. Light and elegant. Easy drinking on its own.

Amazing Cab Franc for the 💵! Serious structure, blackberry compote, herbal notes, and a texture that is a little dirty due to round but youthful tannins.

The ‘17 has about 8% Malbec in blend. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, floral and spice. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry, currants and sweet spices with notes of toasty oak and cacao. Medium+ finish, fine tannins, ending with fruit, oak, spice with slight presence of alcohol. Nice value!

This plays a well balanced role. Enough fruit intensity to appeal to New World drinkers and the hint of death and higher acid that might work for a Bordeaux aficionado.

Interesting Cab Franc from Mendoza, not a region that is typically known for single varietal Cabernet Franc. On the nose there is red fruit but not much else, on the palette there is red fruit, dark cherry specifically, nice tannic backbone, and a pleasant spice characteristic. This isn’t a bad wine, it just seems like it is missing something. Fed in to the hype, wasn’t rewarded.

2011 vintage. "The Enemy" is a friend of mine. Pours the most beautiful dark purple hue. Berry fruit becomes very apparent after opening up. Great structure and balance.
