Durant Vineyards
Bishop Vineyard Pinot Noir

Made by Isabelle Dutarte of Deponte Cellars and 1789 Wines, this is the ultimate example of why my heart belongs to Pinot. Noir. Pommard planted in 1973, this Pinot is bold and powerful, yet delicate and elegant all at once. Beautiful cherries and earth balanced by lovely acidity. A lush, silky mouthfeel and medium body explode mid palate with a wave of juicy, seamless, lush goodness that follows through to an extra long, gorgeous finish. Wow. Wow. Wow.

Cherry & blackberry aromas are complicated with cola, vanilla and floral notes.
Smooth, broad and somewhat sweet on the pallet. Long finish

Was very impressed with this bottle. Grippy, firm, expressive with red fruit, cocoa, spice, & tingle-your-teeth Jory-ness. #technicalterm

Raspberry, cardamom, lavender, mushroom, dusty earth. Vibrant acidity frames gorgeous fruit and grounding earth tones with integrated Bbl and fruit tannins to create a layered wine that shows the grace, elegance and richness of the Dundee Hills. Bravo Isabelle Dutartre!

We had this 7/1-2/18. A terrific PN with tastes cherry and strawberry. A little bolder than most Oregonian PN. The mouth feel has a special silk texture. Would try to get more.

Oct 17th, 2016Fascinating bottle of pinot. The acidity races along the tongue keeping the fruit vibrant throughout, but there wasn't much roundness and the tannins were a bit grainy on the end. It did evolve over the day, so may benefit from time in the cellar.
