Seriously killing me. I miss you, SB, so much. Brandon rules. 2011 Black Label SRH Pinot. Sweet red fruit to go with animal hair and dried earth. Consistent palate that is oh so silky smooth. Touch of orange and dusted chocolate on finish. Love this.

Bigger style Pinot. Heavy on the oak, dark fruits and a decent amount of oak tannin. Not really my style of Pinot, but Well made, and would surely have a following.

Don’t like it as much as their single vineyard as it is heavier bodied and more Oaked. But it is still very nice.

Aromatic cherry pie with a brioche crust on the nose. Black cherry with subtle raspberry and blueberry in the background. Fresh palate and a strong finish with soft tiny tannins. A super complex pinot.. got better with every sip. Sure this could have benefited even more from a quick decant but lovely never the less.

Agree with Paul below - I actually preferred the Radian pinot from Dragonette. But that’s hardly a slight - just more of a preference of style. This is a big, rich pinot - buttery oak honeying up the cranberries and plum skins. There’s a citrus-like tang that somehow morphs into charcoal smoke and dark chocolate...

A once worthy wine, now sadly over the hill. Eight years ago this 2010 vintage was full bodied, fresh and lively with mouthfuls of fruit, reminiscent of a Syrah—a more weighty style of California Central Coast Pinot. Now that fruit is mostly gone, replaced by a sad heaviness that just isn’t that fun to drink. I had high hopes that this wine would have the structure to develop into something interesting and delicious, but was disappointed right after opening and was just as disappointed after an hour of decanting. Could be a dumb phase but I would not wait longer to find out. Many California reds, like this one, just aren’t built for 10 plus years of aging. Drank this with spice rubbed grilled chicken thighs. Preferred my Corona with lime instead; what a contrast!

not quite as good as the radian but dragonette continues to impress. honey, chocolate, and leather - extremely well balanced.

Catching up from a couple of weeks back. Don’t recall the specifics on this one, but it was good, particularly for the vintage.

Gorgeous. I had to decant for a bit but it opened so smoothly, with smoke and oak, and dark red cherries, ripe plum.
