Poured into a decanter about 30min prior to service; enjoyed over the course of several hours alongside the 2017 La Migoua and 2019 La Tourtine. No formal notes. At this juncture, despite being the youngest, the 2020 “Lulu & Lucien” (formerly labeled as their standard Bandol Rouge) is the most open and freshest of the three. Delicious with traditional cassoulet. Definitely something that can be appreciated now through 2035.

Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Pretty nose with red fruits and wild flowers.

Medium bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, peppercorn, light wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, earth and tobacco leaf.

Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This tasty red Bandol from the great 2022 vintage, is starting to drink very nicely now. Rich and fruit forward. Elegant and fresh.

This Single Vineyard Mourvedre is easy drinking, and better with some airtime. Showing nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel.

Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 20 years.

A blend of 75% Mourvedre, 14% Grenache, 9% Cinsault and 2% Syrah and Carignan. Aged in large French oak barrels for 18 months.

14% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$65.

Some nice florals on the nose, a little bloody and meaty; moderately complex. Palate with fine grained tannins, red and black fruits; some chalky minerals, but a pretty big dose of brett unfortunately. Still, the fruit does come through, with a moderate finish. Day 2; less brett and more fruit, still tight, needs 5 years but second day is much better

One of the wines that taught me about wine. Still amazing. So good with food. Dark berries, acidity, stones, plum, spices, long finish with herbs, spices, wood, and more plums. Better after 2 hours of air.

Lovely as a young wine with rich red fruit and a backbone of black pepper and savory spice. I would love to revisit this wine in a decade!!
