Aug 19th, 2023Last night's wine was the 2018 Domaine Sigalas Santorini Assyrtiko.
On the nose there is lemon, mango, beeswax, saline and wet stone. The mineral notes are very prominent.
On the palate I find lemon, lime, passionfruit, ginger, a good portion of saline, flint rock and there is that continued minerals.
This wine is light to medium bodied that is cleean and fresh with high acidity which has a long citrus mineral finish. Let's have a great Easter weekend. Please be safe and healthy. Nostrovia! π₯π₯π₯π₯

Clear pale lemon with medium aromas of floral, citrus and yeasty notes. On the palate flavors of apricot, lemon and ripe pear with flinty wet stone notes. Generous acidity ends with toasty vanilla character. Nice. Tasting Sample.

Apr 23rd, 2019Instantly transported back to Santorini in just a small whiff.
The smell of volcanic soil, salt spray and ungodly sea breezes are unmistakable.
How can one smell wind?

This was an absolute highlight. You get to taste a horizontal of all 7 villages that compose the Santorini PDO bottling. Paris Sigalas also assigns a symbol to each village to represent what characteristics it brings to the wine. The 7 villages are Oia, Imerovigli, Megalochori, Pyrgos, Vourvoulos, Fira, Akrotiri.
