Aα Santorini Assyrtiko Athiri 2017

Assyrtiko is slowly turning into my favorite white varietal and Assyrtiko from Santorini will soon be my new Chablis...
Nose of pear, honey, lemon curd and a huge mineral note of chalk. The palate is intense with a strong acid backbone along which lemon plays a subtle part. A strong grip, some chalky notes here and there too. The finish is wide and long with this curdy, chalky music that plays for a very long while. Need more of that, now!

Grande Reserve Santorini Assyrtiko 2014

Petrol and tropical aromas give way to honeyed pineapple, citrus blossom, vanilla, and guava fruit with a spice moved acid driven finish - excellent creamy texture with toned down acidity from the age this paired perfectly with grilled octopus over fava bean purée — 6 days ago
