The reality is, I waited too long. The “knock” against this site is it can lack some acidity. On top of that throw in a very warm vintage and you have the recipe for a wine that will not age very well. Roulot flavors that weigh on the tongue unable to hitch an acid ride.

This is glorious. Oily-textured. Lemon, slate, pear, a beautiful undertow off steel and rich fruit. A really persistent and lucid mid palate of green fruit and great balance and acidity. The Raveneau of meursault. Delicious

Light to medium gold. Fruity but slightly oxidative nose. Notes of pineapple, earth and a little baked apple. Flabby in the mouth but with air it firms up a bit. Hot. Very California like. Consistent with prior 2006 notes. Improved later in the evening.

Nice straw and yellow gold color. Good weight in the glass. Sweet perfume in the nose with notes of apricot, white flower, white crushed stone and marzipan. In the mouth it's rich with a glycerol coating on top of decent acidity. Great finish. Nice showing for a vintage I'm not enamored with.

Light gold. Slightly heavier and deeper color than the D&S (Coche) Meursault. Tropical nose of apricot, sweet ripe fruit and vanilla. In the mouth its rich and glycerol with more weight. A little heat too. Longer finish. Side by side I like the Coche more.

Few wines coming up. Tasted on Saturday. Nigh on perfect bouquet. Was pleasantly surprised by the expressiveness of the aromatics showing saline, citrus, white stone fruit and acacia blossom. Palate has mind blowing clarity and focus. Not a hair out of place and somehow generous yet completely straight line at the same time. Layered but not fat. Refreshing acid line and laser like precision. Balance was breathtaking, as was the 30-40 second evolving finish. Seemed a shame to drink so young. 98+ points with a wonderful future ahead.

Roulot never dissapoints. The best description for these wines is: "Lazer like". Very lean, clean and fresh in style with, again, a lot of depth & elegance on the palate.
