Crisp, chalky (on refill), tart/green plum fruit. What a great food wine. Paired w home made sushi and pork wonton soup.

And now it’s time for my semi-annual attempt to show respect to dry Chenin Blanc. I cannot really remember actually enjoying a dry Chenin Blanc in my lifetime of drinking, but I do respect it. This one’s very respectable. Loads of bruised orchard fruit on the nose. The barest hint of an oxidative note. Lots of wet limestone. Intensely mineral and sour in the mouth. Powerful acids. End of the finish leaves a faintly nutty, fino sherryish taste. Intellectually interesting to me, but it’s just not my thing.

Surprised this doesn't get better reviews on here, the 2011 must not have been great, like this 2013. Love this wine, nice and dry, slightest hint of oxidation...really tasty.

Has that wonderful Chenin funk and a nice mineral backbone - some white flowers too

Really digging Chenin ... This is much better on day 2 - chilled ... Has a fresh honeydew subtlety to it

Really lovely Vouvray sec. Lemon pith, honey, hay, and baking bread all furl out the nose and palate. Wonderful cleansing acidity and stony minerality lend focus and delineation. Really great value at this price point. Should drink well for at 5+ years.
