Savage grace. If you want to take a walk on the wild side, but in the most elegant way possible, this is for you. Violets, animal, plums, cherries, dried herbs. Tannins firm but playing a supporting role. A pleasure to follow the evolution over an hour or two. It’s officially fall weather here in NYC so thoughts are turning to southern France...

QPR is off the charts. Awesome wine. Best producer in Faugeres for sure, but maybe in all of Languedoc.

Strong but fresh, great with the steak at Shonzui.

Dark ruby opaque in the center, black pepper, dried oregano, thyme, dried strawberry, red plum, preserved red plum, cinnamon, clove, all spice, licorice, red cherry, dusty and powdery mineral notes, slightly savory, med plus tannin, med plus acidity. Unusual wine with lots to offer.

One of the best wines I have had so far in 2015.
If garrigue were a perfume spiked with red fruits, licorice, spice and exotic flowers it would be how this wine smells. The palate is perfect, if anything a little young as the tannins are a tad firm, but not intrusive. A long, clean finish, purity comes to mind.

Easter wine, Barral has risen, not Bretty 😃, seriously good, high acid but well integrated, ripe cherries, tar, lots of life left
