Super seductive nose, however; palate is a bit stretched and lean. That said, more than decent drinking at the super sale price paid. Yay.

Wow. What a nose!! Sick. What burgundy is all about. A bit rich and lactic and very NSG on palate. Needs time.

Drinking well. Sappy cherry fruit on the nose, still wound up on the palate but clean

Strawberry and other red fruits, some plumb, spice and tea notes. Showing great now.

Earthy, umami. It needed to be decanted as it was tight when we first opened it. After 10 minutes it was a completely different wine! Loved it

Quite pronounced orange rind notes. Still quite dark and brooding. Pretty good

The nose says it all, this is what Burgundy is all about! Wonderful, complex perfume like aromas of earth, elegant red fruits, wild spice and peppercorns. A medium bodied palate that is elegant, but has great presence, silky and fine tannins add structure with fantastic, fresh acidity. Awesome length, one of my favorite wines of the evening.

2003
