I LOVE this wine. It is so old school. So much like the better CDRs and CDRVs I used to drink/sell in the early 80s. Very earthy, funky, aged meaty nose. Peppery, roasted green herbs, iodine-tinged flavors. There’s spicy blackberry skins too, but that takes a back seat to farmy garrigue. Clingy and damn good. Cambie may have have Ginger-ized most of the southern Rhône, but it is really nice to find that Mary Ann is still in the house.

The aroma is authentic and alive, but the structure is starting to fall apart. No doubt about its honest artisanal winemaking.

So much stony minerality in the mouth, it’s like the Grenache equivalent of a Saint-Joseph Syrah. Very savory, mouthfilling flavors. Tremendous value.

Black fruit dress, deep. Nose carried by ripe fruits (strawberry, black cherry, blackberries,) peppery spices, light roasting, wild vegetable notes, aromatics.. grenache in front, syrah well present. Gourmet and supple mouth with a silky touch of low-sulphide wines. Beautiful profile. Great price/pleasure!

Nez porté par les fruits mûrs (fraise, cerise noires, mûres,) épices poivrées, torréfaction légère, notes végétales sauvages, aromates.. grenache devant, syrah bien présente. Bouche gourmande et souple au toucher soyeux des vins peu sulfurisés. Beau profil. Prix/plaisir super!

Very clear, dark purple, and surprisingly bright. Nose has lots of vanilla, spicy minerality, and cooked blackberries and raspberries. Maybe some gaminess. Medium body, medium + acid, medium viscosity, medium- tannins. Palette also sees gaminess, sour cherries. Bottle says 13.5%, but tastes higher to me.
