Confidence Cornas Syrah

Excellent texture, seemed a bit more oxidized than I would have thought given the age - not flawed in any way, just unexpected.

Stalwart Syrah. Needs time, but showed its potential on the second night. Deep dark fruit, minerals, foliage. Long long finish.

Terrific. Young.

13.5%. Wonderful Syrah, violets, dark berries (blackberry), touch dark cherry, hint band-aid, quite spicy!, tannins fully resolved and super soft. Drink now - this is ready. At its peak from here it will go down hill.

Touch Brettanomyces, aka horses ass but otherwise flawless and very tasty. 13.5%. Comes across as a red Burgh. NSG. Inky and dark. Tannins fully resolved. Velvety, Blackberry, dark 🍒. Leather.

Powerful and elegant. I really needed to have steak with this but mistakenly had salad. It probably would have gotten a higher rating from me with steak or lamb. It’s just the right age now, and is still strong. A good choice for Syrah.

Meaty, graphite and some interesting herbal notes. A somewhat riper style.

Kind of new worldish. No black pepper. Still it is tasty. Just not showing typicity.

This was sort of in between the new and old worlds in its taste profile. Ok.

tight and somewhat closed. Too soon to open this 2010. Has good potential. Wait til at least 2021
