On the verge of a Bret bomb. But.... the wine is there. Cherry syrup, pencil shavings, earth, iodine, hay, chalky minerality and nice acid.

Dec 8th, 2020New vintage - not sure if vintage variation or palate evolving but this is downright drinkable right from the bottle. Flush with ripe wild raspberry and blackberry, purple flowers and fresh green herbs, certainly some Brett and rich earth. Good acid and minimal tannin. Reaction around the table not so friendly - father says too earthy, Meg makes a face. I’m loving it! Enjoyed with reverse-seared NY Strip, heavy rosemary-garlic butter baste.
