Savennières-Roche aux Moines Chenin Blanc

Very different than the 1992. More vivid and fruity some touch of quince representatives of the Chenin from the Loire valley. Lovely with a smoked salmon.

Apple, stone, and wax, oxidative, silky and light with depth and length.

Probably waited a little too long. It’s extremely savory and has lost its balance. Drinkable but not as good as I was hoping for.

Wow! Never had a wine with such strong saffron notes before!

Fakkin’ A. Very tasty w the deep apricot, hint o wool, pineapple, lemon n pretty wood. Very nice but I don’t think the afe made much better.

Beautiful, clear copper color. Hawthorne, baked yellow apples and nuts.

100% Chenin Blanc

Medium straw color. Clear and transparent.

Classic aged Loire Chenin Blanc bouquet with waxy note, white flowers, stone fruits. Slightly oxidative but that only adds complexity.

Completely dry, medium acidity. The 21 years it has had in the bottle have given the wine a good body and texture. This would stand up to any poultry or game based dishes. Great wine for the fall.

I won't wait any longer. This is ready for the party. Again another amazing value from this great region. 91.
