Terrific nose. Huge kirsch perfume. Stone. Raspberry. So clean, so precise and really refined. High toned and floral as well. Tons of fresh herbs. A killer CDP nose and zero heat and it’s 15%. Palate is ripe and juicy with good complexity and concentration. Powerful and sleek but also a hint of CDP heat. 15% is 15%. But good chewy tannins and cooling offset to the fruit that makes the 15% workable in the context of the wine and appellation.

At the family GSM tasting/ get together. All wines tasted single blind.
Nose has dried herbs, lots of cherry and raspberry fruit, excellent length, good balance of tannins and acids. This will shine at the dinner table. (This was the overall group preference.)

Haven’t had CdP in a hot minute! This one is very well-balanced, and the alcohol is well-integrated — you don’t feel the ABV at all (15%). Lots of bright red fruits and spicy nuances, plus I was getting some lavender.

Complex and concentrated with wonderful mouthfeel and juiciness. Super clean and pure. Ripe with perfect tannins and such nice balance. Not vulgar like most CDP can be.

Jan 29th, 2023Very perfumey and floral. Don't get a ton of fruit on this. It's quite dry yet very smooth. Tannins have smoothed out. I was surprised by how light this was. Thought it was going to be fuller bodied. Paired with an 80 day dry aged steak, white truffle potatoes, and roasted raddichio
