What a sick bargain this is. Lighter and more fruity than its more famous and expensive counterparts, this is a wine that still gives glimpses of what makes Nebbiolo great. Nice structure with tangy red fruits out front buttressed by big, grippy tannins that dry out your mouth in a good way. Wonderful value here.

Pretty good for basic Langhe nebbiolo from a large house. Needed food (chicken and penne); without it was a little thin and bite-y.

2012 Damilano Marghe Langhe Nebbiolo. Appealing Baby Barolo with floral nose and earthy favors with a sharp cherry bite of tannins. Went well with the last of the summer truffles in fettuccine.
