Notes of crushed raspberries, pomegranate seeds, and black cherries. While fruit-forward, it isn’t overly ripe or rich. There’s plenty of juicy acidity and a touch of spiciness to balance out the playful fruit flavors. As for tannins, I would say medium and soft.

Medium purple. Fairly simple, brambly fruit, modest weight fresh acid. Tasty but not great value.

In Monkey Jacket, Michael Cruse wants to capture the Napa vintage through a mix of grapes - primarily Valdiguie, Carignan, and Tannat. It’s light, bright, and soft crunchy. Fun but go for his single vineyards.
