Needs a few hours of air before it opens up. At first it is like a prune rolled in dust. But after a bit it opens up a lot and expresses a range of black fruit - plums and berries - and the dust turns into integrated minerality.

Vivid color. Needs a little air and another 5yr. A bit astringent. But integrated, tasty black cherry, blackberry and wild savory.

Chateau is located in the Minervois region of France’s Languedoc, midway between Narbonne and the Medieval town of Carcassonne. Deep rich red with aromas of dark fruit and forest notes. On the palate plum and blueberry flavors, little spice and toasty oak notes. Big firm tannins, medium finish, savory, ending with mineral and fruit character.

A delicious, balanced, if somewhat easy-going GSM. Quaffable. Went perfectly with a bacon chop.

Dark inky purple color hints at the taste. Expressive nose of lavender, pencil shavings, and tobacco. Dense, dark and chewy with black fruits, chocolate, and a bit of pepper bacon on the smooth finish. All I need now is a big hunk of red meat.

Amazing little bottle. I order it for myself at the store.
