Tawny color. Not overly dark. Nice nose. Notes of black cherry, mocha, light tobacco and a hint of coffee. Very smooth and great mouth feel. Gave this 7 hours of air which was very much needed as this was closed and quiet at open. Everyone liked this.

Had this wine in december. This one was in line with my last encounter. Old school Medoc style. A lot tertiary characteristics.

1hr+ decant. Dark red color with plenty of maroon and bricking. Floral, Smokey nose. Wine is drinkable but tart with earth and little fruit remaining. Oldest wine I’ve ever had which was fun but not all that enjoyable.

1989 vintage. Multiple (6) bottles decanted and tasted after 1 hr, 2hrs and 4hrs. Still a bit rambunctious but some of the spiky edges have folded inwards and the overall impression is less "Ruler of the known world" as it once was. Seemed a tad more advanced/accelerated than my last visit. Still very very nice. Would like to taste again before officially going totally OPD/DOA on such a historically great wine. 4.4.23.

Happy New Year! This wine was very light bodied for a Beadeaux, but with some great spice flavour. Would have liked a bit more weight and body.
