Sarget de Gruaud Larose Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend

Blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits and cedar notes. On the palate flavors of plum and blackberry, with tobacco, cacao and smoky oak notes. Fine rustic tannins, long finish ending with fruit and earthy mineral tones, almost starting to drink well but will last for the next 4-5 years.

Deep Ruby with rich fruit aromas. Don’t be fooled by the easy fruitiness of this delicious wine, look underneath the palate shows blackberry flavors with a meaty tannic structure. Rich, long ending, starting to taste well, will age for another decade. and dense, it promises considerable aging.

Mid-weight, fresh, cranberry, orange peel and cloves. Very drinkable.

2nd wine of Gruaud-Larose.

On the nose, black fruit, earth, and tobacco. Lighter on the palate, with sweet blackberry, black cherry ,and medium tannins. Medium finish.

4/21/8/4/3+ 50 = 90 pts.

Brett has overtaken this wine. Don’t get sucked in by the sexy price and vintage on a wine list. Not complex, not good...I should have known better.
