Les Grandes Ruchottes Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay

Not as much snap as I remember. Intriguing Not sure how I feel about it.

Heavy reductions, which I like. Lean and mineral. Pure white pit fruit.

Fully mature with honeyed apple, pear and lime zest fruit. Palate shows burnished with wet stones, pear, lemon curd and almond flavors. This has lovely texture and develops nice focus on the finish.

Very flinty.

#6 Sweet fruity nose. Cinnabon! Hints of anise again. Excellent body and piercing acid but in balance with sense of fruit. Oaky. Long finish. Says this is "Monster". Only 3-4 barrels. Gordons tasting 4-26.

Lovely wine went surprisingly well with my chicken burger. Apple and light floral notes, medium acidity with nice long rounded finish. A good buy.

Kettle popcorn, very toasty brioche, little bit 'o funk- very nice! My first experience with a high quality Burgundian Chardonnay, love it!
