Black cherry, wet rocks, and a touch of petrol (blows off after a bit) on the nose. A mix of red and black fruits on the medium palate. Medium tannins and finish.

3/21/8/4/3+50= 89 pts.

A blend of 50/50 Cab Sauv/Merlot, aromas of ripe berry fruits with notes of cedar. On the palate blackberry flavors with toasty oak and cacao notes. Firm grippy tannins, balanced, medium finish ending with fruit character. Tasting Sample.

Oxblood red fruits, tobacco and brett, some new oak, good acidity and modest tannins. Priced a few dollars more than most ‘Bordeaux Superior’. Graves or bust.

Classic case of "I read great things about this wine" that just didn't pan out. I loved all the character but, for me, it was just watery. Maybe this one bottle?

The nose is refined and soft and the palate is, as well. All the elements are there. It's showing quite nice but in a few years, thus will be outstanding.

This was an okay wine for a decent price. I enjoyed it, but not my favorite. Not bad by any means!

Fruit is black and fresh, layered with licorice, tobacco, and vanilla bean. Well integrated tannins and impressive flesh and drive. Well built.

A close friend and I shared this Bordeaux, the 2009 Château de Chantegrive. The blend is 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon.

On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, violet, tobacco, coffee beans and earth.

On the palate there is black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, black currant, tobacco, herbaceousness and earth.

This wine is full bodied with a velvety mouth feel, medium + acidity and medium to medium + fine tannins that moves along to a long dark fruit finish. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷
