Intensely mineral nose. Nuthin but rocks. Maybe a little red fruit. Peppery and minerally in the mouth as well. Full and bone dry. I actually crave a wine like this occasionally, and fortunately tonight is one of those nights!

Absolutely delicious distinctive wine brought to me by the efforts of garagiste. Needs plenty of air, and when it get it, it sings. Layers of dark berry fruit, plum, cassis, and cherry. Earthy, and black pepper dominate but allow the fruit to poke through. Clove, bay leaf, dried herbs mingle. The palate is intensified with the same notes. Olive on the nose when I first opened it. Lots of berry, and complemented a smoky sauce with cocoa and peppers (ancho, paprika, jalapeño).
