The 2016 Dauzac presents an impressive bouquet of intense black cherry and bilberry fruit, crushed stone and wilted violets; the oak here is very well integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and pliant in the mouth. The saline finish fans out with style. Very fine. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2020)

#bordeauxaintthatlame #grandcruclassé #margaux intense and complex aromas with lots of red fruits as well as fine and seductive secondary aromas. Truly elegant.

Dried dark fruit, like currants and prunes, baking spices, damp earth, cured meats, touches of blood and iron. Friendly and open entry, yet the finish is still slightly stubborn and rustic.
Quite enjoyable!

Wow this is delicious! I paid $40 but would pay $100. Mellow nose but I get ripe plum up front and oak in the back. Very balanced throughout. More plum, slight cherry and touch of oak on palate. Low acidity. This is quintessential Bordeaux!
