Blend of mostly Garnatxa and Carinena, aged in American oak, deep Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits, spice and oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry, currants and raspberry with vanilla, smoky cedar and licorice. Fine chewy tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak, sweet spice and earthy mineral character. Nice!

Oct 5th, 2019Raspberry, cedar, leather and clove notes. Excellent length, long finish. Med + acidity with medium tannins. High complexity wine that had immense gastronomic capabilities. High alcohol at 15%. Was beautiful with steak. Still has ageing potential! Deliciousness in a bottle! #garnacha

Beautiful wine - very young, sleeping giant right now. The style here is bold, powerful, and rustic rather than elegant and finessed. Underlying notes of dark fruit, currants, and spice blend with streaks of slate and mineral. The secondary flavors are all there, but right now, the 15% ABV dominates a bit. Give this baby 10 - 12 years of cellar time, and it will be a world class Priorat. The score will be 3 to 4 points higher once the complex flavors emerge and become dominant. 2015 vintage on Nov 2, 2018
