Fairly closed right now but with very fine complexity on the palate. Tobacco, anise and spice notes more dominant on the nose, but I love the overall shape and contour and the acid and tannin profile for the long term. Give it at least a couple of years if you want to see some real fruit.

Has entered a very reductive phase. Needed lots of time to open up.

Open 4 hrs before drinking, new world style Sangiovese. Needs 2-3 years. 89+ now potential for 91.

Needed time to open up. Not as impressive as what I would have expected...I was looking for a wine with tannins and acid but instead this was like a Pinot noir of Chianti.... smooth and discreet....

I think I just don’t like Chianti because this is supposed to be a good one.

Very dark and not a lot of tannic structure. Gets the job done for DOCG Chianti sub $20 πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ.

Typically love Chianti Riserva, but struggled here. Eventually opens a bit on the front to very dark fruit and earth, but back end stays closed.

Rich, penetrating wine with bright red fruit and vibrant acidity and dry, slightly spicy edge.
