Closed initially, a little dry and tannic with a smidgeon of va. However, with air a striking prune-plum and bramble fruit aroma builds, along with notes of dark roast coffee and smoked herbs... and this becomes more and more enjoyable. Night two and it’s downright complex. Very snappy! Lots of acid to help it age. I’m hard pressed to think of a better value Chianti. — 11 days ago
Me and my wife just polished off our last bottle from a case of these. One of the best value Chianti’s on the market. Picked up for $8.99/each at Costco a few months ago. This is an austere offering from high elevation vineyards in Radda in Chianti. Beautiful floral nose with bright cherry, plum skin and Tuscan soil. Elegant and refined for the price point. Shines with at least 30 min decant and pairs great with pizza or pasta with red sauce. — 12 days ago

Ruby in color with a wide brick/ orange rim.
Fruity nose of cherries, ripen strawberries, light wood, vinaigrette, dark coffee, earth, forest floor, spices, black pepper and tobacco leaf. Nice nose.
Medium-bodied with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, strawberries, currants, barnyard, vegetables, dark chocolates, diet cola, earth, leather, tobacco leaf, spices, wood, light cloves, herbs and peppercorn.
Nice tangy finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This 14 year old Chianti Classico is still drinking very nicely. Nicely balanced with a nice soft mouthfeel.
A good food wine and even good by itself. Need is an hour of airtime to open up.
Paired very nicely with the double cream Brie cheese.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
